Dr. Madhusanka Liyanage

Dr. Madhusanka Liyanage is a leading researcher in 6G security and mobile network resilience, specializing in AI-driven privacy and security solutions for next-generation networks. He is an Associate Professor at University College Dublin, where he serves as the Director of Network Softwarization and Security Labs (NetsLab) at the UCD School of Computer Science. His expertise spans AI security, Federated Learning, and Zero-Trust architectures, contributing to multiple high-profile projects, including Confodenetial-6G, ROBUST-6G, 6G-SANDBOX, and Ensure-6G. He has authored several books and numerous peer-reviewed publications in 6G security, blockchain, and network intelligence. In 2020, he received the "2020 IEEE ComSoc Outstanding Young Researcher" award by IEEE ComSoc EMEA. Since 2021, he was ranked among the world's top 2% of scientists (2020, 2021, 2022 & 2023) on the list prepared by Elsevier and Stanford University, USA. His research has been supported by major industry players such as Nokia, Ericsson, and Telefonica. Dr. Liyanage actively collaborates with academia and industry to shape the future of secure, intelligent networks.
