International Conference on Advances in Technology and Computing (ICATC 2025) is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against any publication malpractices. The conference committee is responsible for preventing publication malpractices and ensuring ethical behavior in ICATC 2025. All the papers will go through a double-blind peer review process and all submitted papers will be subjected to a rigorous peer review process by at least two reviewers who are experts in the particular field. ICACT 2025 will not tolerate plagiarism in any form and ICATC reserves the right to use plagiarism detection software to screen the papers.
All the parties including editors, authors, and reviewers of ICATC 2025 are to be fully committed to the standards of ethical behavior and fulfil the following duties and responsibilities.
Editors: Editors are responsible for the overall quality and the contents of the publication and they have the authority to reject or accept a paper. Editors should evaluate the papers exclusively based on the importance, originality, clarity, and relevance to the scope. Editors should further ensure the publication confirms the ethical guidelines and should take reasonable responsive measures when ethical complaints are made concerning a manuscript or published article.
Authors: All authors must own their original work, which has not previously been published elsewhere and not currently being considered for publication elsewhere. The authors should ensure to appropriately acknowledge if the work of the other has been used in the paper and include a list of references. Plagiarism in any form will be considered as an unethical publishing behavior and is unacceptable. Authors should include the details of the funding sources in a separate section entitled “acknowledgement”.
All the authors should have significantly contributed to the research submitted in the article and only the contributors to the article should be listed as authors. The authors should notify editors of any potential conflicts of interest and should notify the editor promptly if a significant error in the publication is identified. Authors should participate in the peer review process and should respond to the reviewers’ comments systematically. The corresponding author should obtain the full consensus of all the co-authors in approving the paper and submission to ICATC 2025.
Reviewers: Reviewers should treat all the manuscripts received for review as confidential documents. Reviews should be conducted objectively, and observations should be expressed clearly with supporting arguments for the authors to improve the paper. Furthermore, reviewers should point out relevant published work which is not yet cited in the manuscript. Reviewers should not consider manuscripts which have conflicts of interest resulting from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships or connections with any of the authors, companies or institutions connected to the papers.
Publishing Ethics Issues
The conference committee, and editorial board ensure the monitoring and safeguarding of the above publishing ethics. Strict policies are implemented to avoid plagiarism, fraudulent data and research misconducts and have a strong commitment to publish corrections and clarifications.
Whenever a significant inaccuracy or misleading information is identified in a published paper, it will be promptly corrected. If a fraudulent article was identified after a proper investigation, the article would be retracted and it would be clearly identifiable.
